Introducing Naked Threads
Come closer — a manifesto for intimacy, contradiction, and the raw edge of truth.
Hey Im Tahl, and I’m still figuring things out.
I’ve been teaching yoga for decades, guiding teachers, mentoring people in how to show up as humans. Along the way I’ve found myself in naked conversations — clothed on the outside, but inside completely bare. What I’ve discovered is that my deepest desire is to foster intimacy: in the way we connect, in the way we express, in the way we dare to live.
This Substack is my container for that. I renamed it Naked Threads because I wanted to change the tone slightly and commit to a new relationship with you.
I want to come closer.
Each week I will aim to pull at the strands that weave us together — relationships, grief, power, sex, art, parenting, desire. Threads that sometimes hold , sometimes unravel. When this threads fall away fall away, what’s left is raw, human, unguarded.
Naked.
Here I’ll share writing, quotes, images, fragments of music and thought, pieces to spark reflection and to invite you to tug on your own threads and see where they take you.
More than anything, this space is an invitation to dare.
Dare to express yourself.
Dare to love fiercely.
Dare to allow yourself more.
Dare to forgive.
Dare to let go of the story.
Dare to understand another.
Dare to pull the threads until there’s nothing left but what’s true.
Dare to be you.
This is Naked Threads, my love letter to intimacy, contradiction, and the messy, beautiful fabric of being alive.
Come closer.
I love you.
Tahl
